On 30th June 2004, Tommy Tang, a well-known American Television Travel and Cooking Show presenter and the host of “Tommy Tang’s Let’s Get Cooking” visited the Doi Tung Development Project in Chiang Rai, Thailand. On this occasion, he demonstrated a new dish, “Larb Macadamia” at Khrua Tamnak Restaurant. Macadamia is grown in the project as a substitution crop for opium. Tommy chose Macadamia as the main ingredient for his new dish. He, his family along with American journalists were warmly welcomed by Mom Rajawongse Disnadda Diskul, Director of Doi Tung Development Project and the staff.
